The Boeing Company Communication and Audiovisual Designer - Experienced Level in Chantilly, Virginia
Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Communication/Audio-Visual Designer to support our business in Chantilly, VA. This organization supports mission critical government programs.
The successful candidate will work on state of the art Video Displays and Video Teleconferences (VTC) as well as provide Operations Center support in a mission critical environment.
Identifies, analyzes and documents requirements for data and voice network transport technologies and services.
Identifies, analyzes and documents requirements for audio/video services such as in support of conference rooms and operations centers.
Creates and documents designs for RF distribution networks to include TV and radio head-ends.
Creates and documents designs that conform to architectural and security standards. Prepares, deploys and coordinates installation of implementation packages per Boeing standards.
Performs maintenance of network systems. Collects and compiles data for budget planning.
Coordinates high level implementation planning for strategic multi-technology insertion projects.
Create estimates and design drawings sets as required.
Perform trouble-shooting on audio/visual systems such as video walls and conference room set-ups.
This position requires an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Security Clearance/Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Ability to obtain a Counterintelligence Polygraph post-start
Minimum 3 years of experience in audio-visual multimedia applications and equipment
Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office Tools
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Experience & Skills) :
Minimum 3 years of experience working with fiber optics
: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.
This position is for 1st shift.
This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
