The Boeing Company is currently seeking an End User Support Specialist to join the Information Technology group located in Kihei, HI. This position is a shift position that may require you to work a variety of fluctuating shifts that include days, nights, and possible on call support. Ability to work above 10,000 feet ASL is required. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Troubleshoots moderately complex delivery systems or network issues and escalates problem as appropriate Assists with basic computing delivery systems configuration management Performs basic end-user training Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires an active Interim Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) Required Qualifications: Ability to utilize technological tools (e.g., PC's, web sites) and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data relevant to workloads, responsibilities, problem identifications and resolutions Ability to operate relevant personal computing hardware (e.g., personal computers, software, printers, storage media) and standard software (e.g., word processing, graphics packages, spreadsheets/databases) Knowledge of the security of architecture, electronic data communications, network/data, electronic commerce, and other related areas to provide computing security and integration services to company computer users and customers Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent Good knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols Experience with scripting and automation tools A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols Interfaces with the appropriate government agencies, customers, suppliers, and company personnel in order to facilitate implementation of protective mechanisms and to ensure understanding of and compliance with computing security requirements Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.) Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
