Kihei, HI .
A Systems Engineer in the area of Configuration Management is needed on the Research and Development for Advanced Space Superiority Technology and Engineering (RASTER) Program, Maui Space Surveillance Site on Maui, HI. The selected candidate will support scientific research and development projects aimed at discovering / developing systems and advanced techniques for space situational awareness involving both imaging and non-imaging techniques.
Your responsibility will be to help define and gather requirements from the Air Force customer and refine how documents are maintained and archived. Coordinate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to implement configuration control processes and procedures across the organization.
The ability to work above 10,000 feet is required.

Assists the engineering team in the version control and archival of Mechanical, Electrical and Opto-electronic system/subsystem level engineering products.
Participate in the Configuration Management of system/subsystem level engineering products.
Generate technical reports on findings, provides system data collection and analysis
This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an engineering or science related field
1+ years’ experience providing technical leadership for an engineering team performing change management, configuration management or data management
1+ years’ experience in at least one of the following areas: Support System Analysis, Spares, Provisioning, Technical Data, Training, Maintenance/Modifications and Support
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
