Position Overview: Boeing Defense Space and Security is looking for an experienced Lab Engineer / Windows System Administrator to work out of our Seal Beach, CA location Position Responsibilities: Works with customers to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements. Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. System Administration Knowledge of Windows platforms This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation is available for internal candidates. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience ): This position requires an active U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) A final Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed or updated within the past six years is required. System Administration Knowledge of Windows platforms Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): System Administration Knowledge of Linux/Unix platforms Experience with reading and interpreting electrical schematics Experience in electro-mechanical assembly skills like crimping, stripping, cable routing, splicing, and labeling Experience handling and/or working with ESD-sensitive hardware/equipment Experience utilizing lab test equipment, such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc. . Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
