The Boeing Company, Experimental Systems Group (ESG), has an opportunity for a Experienced System Requirements and Verification Engineer (Level 3) to support state-of-the-art satellite systems engineering tasks for the X-37B and/or other programs in Seal Beach, CA. Boeing's Space & Launch division, Government Satellites, manages the company's major government satellite and ground programs for communications, national defense and other missions. Government Satellites oversees the design, development, manufacture, integration and testing of space systems. (Basic relocation is available for internal candidates, based on candidate eligibility.) Position Responsibilities Support space systems design, architecture definition, and functional analysis. Support CONOPS (Concept of Operations) development and functional analysis; requirements analysis, decomposition and flow down; and multi-segment internal/external interface definitions and development. Support system level trade studies and briefings. Create, publish, critique, and revise systems engineering design artifacts (e.g., requirement specifications, interface description documents, interface control documents, ConOps). Collect results of requirements reviews with stakeholders pertaining to specifications, documents action plans and updates requirements database. Perform system verification planning and formal requirements sell-off to ensure that the system architecture and design concepts satisfy the intent of the customer requirements. This position requires an active/current U.S. Security Clearance with successful completion of a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) Basic (Required) Qualifications Experience working on satellite and/or space systems. Understanding of the basics of development, design, test and operations of satellite systems and ground systems. Experience with the use of DOORS for requirements flow down and verification activities. Preferred (Desired) Qualifications Strong technical writing and communication skills. Project management experience. Experience in DOORS DXL scripting for custom queries and metrics generation. Typical Education/Experience Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
