The Boeing Company Lead Weapons Program Designer -Joint Direct Attack Munition in St. Charles, Missouri

Boeing is currently seeking a Lead Weapons Program Designer  (Level 4) to support Boeing’s Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) and other weapons programs in the St. Louis area.  Come join the team responsible for the "Warfighters Weapon of Choice", currently producing at over 200 units a day, and help our team develop the next generation of air to ground weapon systems! Position Responsibilities: Lead a design team that supports production, work with suppliers and our military customers directly, and  develops the next generation of air to ground weapon systems.  Take on broad responsibilities quickly, lead projects, and lead our team in supporting production at over 200 units a day.   Use deductive reasoning and root cause corrective action responsibilities to help resolve design and production / supplier issues.  Review and approve drawings and provide technical lead engineer and mentorship of our team.   Occasional travel will be required to support supplier visits and customer engagements.  This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. (Post Start) Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Qualifications): Proficiency at interpreting 2D & 3D engineering drawings and notes. Experience 3D modeling and model based definition. Experience working with suppliers. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience with Product Data Management Systems (Team Center).  Experience with Siemens NX. Experience in Aerospace or Munitions. Experience working with production and manufacturing. Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
