The Boeing Missile and Weapon Systems Team located in St. Charles, MO is seeking Navigation Analysts to join a diverse group of Engineers in developing leading edge military systems. Selected candidates will work a wide range of programs to provide state of the art Navigator solutions to our customers that precisely tell the host platform where it is located, how it is oriented, and where it is going. Position Responsibilities: Support team efforts with to develop models and simulation tools that represent the performance and operation of navigation related equipment such as: Global Positioning Systems (GPS) Inertial Measurement Units (IMU) Accelerometers and Gyroscopes Support team efforts to use the developed models and simulation tools to: Predict navigation performance. Develop navigation algorithms. Define requirements for implementing navigation algorithms in software. Support team efforts to conduct laboratory testing and flight testing to: Measure/validate navigation performance relative to design requirements. Troubleshoot operational/service anomalies regarding delivered products. Support team efforts to analyze data from navigation equipment procured from various Suppliers to ensure compliance to requirements. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience): Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics. Experience with computer programming using software languages such as C, C#, C++, FORTRAN, or other common programming languages. Experience with developing or using modeling and simulation tools. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Knowledge of estimation theory (e.g. Kalman filtering). Knowledge of GPS receiver operation. Knowledge of inertial navigation. Knowledge of advanced mathematical principles as applied to aerospace analysis and modeling. Examples could include transform methods, computational geometry, numerical linear algebra, optimization, computational math, numerical analysis, and Monte Carlo analysis. Navigation system design or analysis experience. Experience using Matlab/Simulink. Typical Education / Experience: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation Relocation assistance is provided for qualified candidates.
