The Boeing Company Configuration Management Engineer F-22 Raptor Program (Entry-Level) in St. Louis, Missouri
The F-22 Raptor Program is seeking a Configuration Management (CM) Engineer to join its Systems Engineering Team in support of program configuration management activities in Saint Louis, Missouri. The F-22 Raptor program is well positioned to provide long-term growth opportunities and is committed to an employee focused culture and presence at the St. Louis site supporting the premier 5th generation United States Air Force fighter program. This position will place you at heart of a fast-paced, growing program where you will have the opportunity to shape the program, as well as affords the candidate opportunities to interact with multiple engineering functions, program management, the United States Air Force customer, our partner Lockheed Martin and coordinate with organizations and teams across the program, learn about the product and its requirements across the product lifecycle, and integrate the many elements needed to document and execute major changes on an aircraft platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for the processing of change control documents such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Change Requests (CRs) to support the evolution and sustainment of the F-22 aircraft. The successful candidate will also facilitate program Change Control Boards (CCB) chaired by the program Chief Engineer and support oversight of CM requirements to suppliers. A successful candidate will be an assertive, resourceful leader who is self-motivated and displays intellectual curiosity while expecting results with urgency. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Gathers data to support the analysis and verification of process and product baselines. Collects data for product and subsystem level technical design reviews and audits for new and derivative products. Processes product changes and assists with the documentation and implementation of engineering technical program plans of limited scope and complexity. Gathers data to assist in the analysis of product trades/changes for change proposals. Assists with the documentation of Configuration and Data Management standards, processes and tools. Gathers customer input data for Configuration and Data Management requirements for product hardware, software, and engineering design data systems. Gathers data to assist in the resolution of issues with engineering product structure. Works under close supervision. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship Bachelor or Master of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
